What Central Meetup is, and how the city grows

Central Meetup is a free digital mall for online stores in the USA. It is drawn as a small 2D city. Every store gets one building with its logo, a few lines about what it sells and a link to its own site.

Choose a character, look around the city and tap the buildings that catch your eye. There is no feed and no algorithm deciding what you see.

The Hub and the cities

At the centre sits the Hub, which holds Downtown. Around it sit the cities. Each city is one category, like coats or design, so stores that sell similar things sit side by side.

New cities come from businesses. If your category has no city yet, you can ask for one. Once we approve it, your building founds it.

Rings

Inside a city, plots sit on rings. Ring 1 holds 6 plots, ring 2 holds 12, ring 3 holds 18 and ring 4 holds 24: 60 plots in all.

A city starts with one ring. When every plot on its outermost ring is live, the next ring is added by itself. Plots never move, so the first stores stay closest to the centre. The first store to go live in a city becomes its founder.

What we don't do

Central Meetup takes no cut, handles no orders and charges nothing. Shoppers buy straight from each store's own site.
